Asphalt versus concrete driveway comparison
Use the information you already know about your driveway. These planning tools explain choices without diagnosing concealed conditions or replacing an on-site estimate.
Compare the same job, not just two surface prices
Concrete and asphalt both depend on the supporting construction and where water can go. Ask each proposal to describe removal, prepared base, finished elevations, edge support and temporary access. A price for putting a new surface over retained material is not equivalent to removing and rebuilding the pavement.
This comparison deliberately does not name a universal winner, predict a lifespan or calculate savings from unrelated price bands. Maintenance preference matters, but site suitability comes first. A conversion from dirt or aggregate needs its own assessment before either paving option is selected.
Use the asphalt versus concrete guide, three-material comparison and quote checklist together. Our conversion service explains the work before the wearing surface is installed.
